During President Kikwete’s visit to Vietnam, Vietnamese textile companies expressed their strong desire to import high-quality cotton from Tanzania.
Currently, Vietnam consumes approximately 400,000 tons of cotton every year, and Tanzania produces 360,000 tons of cotton annually. Tanzania’s cotton exports are expected to further revitalize Vietnam’s fast-growing textile industry.
