Foshan’s clothing and clothing accessories exports increased by 10.5% in the first ten months
Foshan Customs yesterday announced Foshan’s foreign trade import and export data for the first ten months. Data show that the total value of Foshan’s foreign trade import and export in the first ten months of this year reached 332.38 billion yuan, an increase of 8.8% over the same period last year, and the growth rate slowed down. It is worth mentioning that in the first ten months, Foshan’s clothing exports increased by 10%, while imports of high-tech products fell by 12%. The foreign trade import and export data of the five districts maintained general growth, among which the import and export volumes of Chancheng, Nanhai, and Sanshui increased by more than 10%.
​The growth rate of import and export of general trade fell slightly
The growth rate of general trade imports and exports fell slightly. From January to October, Foshan’s general trade imports and exports were 182.21 billion yuan, an increase of 0.6%; processing trade imports and exports were 142.57 billion yuan, an increase of 19.6%.
In terms of specific products, the export growth rate of mechanical and electrical products and labor-intensive products continues to accelerate, while the export rate of high-tech products continues to slow down. From January to October, Foshan’s labor-intensive product exports were 38.33 billion yuan, an increase of 4.9%, of which furniture and parts exports were 11.75 billion yuan, an increase of 5.1%; clothing and clothing accessories exports were 11.4 billion yuan, an increase of 10.5%. From January to October, Foshan’s imports and exports to Hong Kong, China’s largest trading partner, and Africa, its second largest trading partner, surged by 30.1% and 53.4% ​​respectively, but the growth rate has declined; imports and exports to the European Union, its third largest trading partner The growth rate was 5.4%, 0.3 percentage points narrower than the growth rate from January to September.

From January to October, the import and export of Shunde District was 132.4 billion yuan, an increase of 6.1%; the import and export of Nanhai District was 106.29 billion yuan, an increase of 10%; the import and export of Chancheng District was 69.94 billion yuan, an increase of 12%; the import and export of Gaoming District was 12.2 billion yuan, An increase of 4.9%; the import and export of Sanshui District was 11.54 billion yuan, an increase of 13.4%.
In terms of exports, the five districts generally increased, with Sanshui District, Nanhai District and Chancheng District increasing by 16%, 14.6% and 10.4% respectively; in terms of imports, Chancheng District increased by 15.5%, Sanshui District increased by 9.9%, and Gaoming District decreased. 11.1%.
