The total output value of the textile industry in Ho Chi Minh City will exceed 100 million US dollars.

According to a report by Vietnam’s “Economic Times” on November 4, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade recently announced the city’s “Textile Industry Development Plan to 2020 and Outlook to 2030.” According to the plan, by 2015, the total output value of Ho Chi Minh City’s textile industry will be about 38 trillion dong (about 1.8 billion U.S. dollars), by 2020 it will be 47.7 trillion dong (about 2.27 billion U.S. dollars), and by 2025 it will be 63.7 trillion dong.
