According to Zambia’s “Daily Mail” report on March 20, Kabwe City Hall has approved 26 hectares of land for the construction of a new textile factory. The textile factory will be jointly operated by the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and Japan’s Marubeni Corporation. The total investment is expected to be hundreds of millions of dollars, and it can create 2,500 direct jobs. In addition, it will also benefit surrounding cotton farmers.
