Bangladesh’s export value of machine-knitted garments increased year-on-year

In August 2014, Bangladesh exported woven garments of US$815 million, a year-on-year increase of 2.43%, and a month-on-month decrease of 32.62%; Bangladesh exported knitted garments of US$898 million, a year-on-year increase of 5.93%, and a month-on-month decrease of 31.31%.
In the 2014/15 fiscal year (2014.7-2014.8), Bangladesh exported woven clothing to a total of US$2.025 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 1.63%; exports of knitted clothing were US$2.206 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.96%.
