On September 19, 2014, the European Commission’s non-food rapid warning system issued a consumer warning on Chinese-made “GETRICH” brand children’s trousers. The notifying country in this case is Hungary. The children’s trousers reported this time are red casual trousers with a long drawstring at the waist. The pants are decorated with cartoon characters and printed with the word “PINK” and are available in sizes 104 and 128. The style/model number of this product is C-893, and the OECD Portal Category code is 67000000 (clothing).
This product may easily pose a risk of injury to children because the drawstring on the waist is not fixed. This product does not comply with the relevant European standards EN14682.
At present, the Hungarian authorities have taken compulsory measures to withdraw the product from the market and recall it.
To this end, it is recommended that relevant domestic production and export enterprises attach great importance to this.
