In the first four months of this year, Italy’s fabric exports to EU countries increased by 8.2%, accounting for 55.3% of total fabric exports during the same period. The overall proportion of exports to countries outside the EU has declined slightly, but the US market is still on the rise. .
Silvio Albini, chairman of the exhibition, said at a press conference that although some fabric companies in Italy “have not recovered” from the economic crisis, the industry has strong development momentum from a global perspective. The organizer of the exhibition said that other countries, especially China, are in a leading position in the Italian fabric supply chain, and the amount of fabrics imported from China accounted for 26.3% of the total fabric imports.
