Among them, 250,000 tons of cotton yarn are sold domestically and 470,000 tons are exported. The main export markets for Vietnamese cotton yarn are China, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, and India, with exports to China accounting for 44% of the total exports of this commodity.
According to reports, in the first eight months of this year, Vietnam imported more than 950 million US dollars of cotton yarn, a year-on-year increase of 2.8%, and exported approximately 1.6 billion US dollars, an increase of 20%, achieving a trade surplus of more than 600 million US dollars.
