In February 2022/23, India exported 77,600 tons of cotton yarn (under HS: 5205), a month-on-month increase of 22.01% and a year-on-year decrease of 14.82%. In 2022/23 (August-February), India exported 321,600 tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year decrease of 59.02%.
The main exporting countries and export volume proportions of Indian cotton yarn in 2022/23 (August-February) are as follows: 108,400 tons were exported to Bangladesh, a year-on-year decrease of 66.21% , accounting for 33.7%; exports to China were 44,100 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 66.47%, accounting for 13.71%.
