In July this year, Turkey’s lint imports reached the lowest value since September last year, with imports of 66,445 tons. From August 2013 to June 2014, Turkey’s lint imports totaled 861,000 tons, an increase from the 730,400 tons imported in the same period of 2012/2013. It is understood that in June this year, Turkey imported 40,041 tons of US cotton, 17,816 tons of Central Asian cotton, 3,756 tons of Indian cotton, 1,371 tons of Syrian cotton, 1,348 tons of Greek cotton, and 1,344 tons of West African cotton.
