U.S. textile and apparel imports from China increased by .% year-on-year

In June 2014, the total value of textile and apparel imports into the United States was US$9.032 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.22% and a month-on-month increase of 12.08%. Among them, textile and clothing imports from China were US$3.641 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5.22%, a month-on-month increase of 22.08%, accounting for 40.31% of the total import share of the United States, an increase of 3.31 percentage points from the previous month; textile and clothing imports from Vietnam were US$832 million, a year-on-year increase of 15.41%. An increase of 13.04% month-on-month, accounting for 9.21% of the total share, an increase of 0.08 percentage points from the previous month; textile and clothing imports from India were US$506 million, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%, a month-on-month decrease of 7.65%, accounting for 5.6% of the total share, a decrease from the previous month 1.2 percentage points.
As of June 2014, the United States had imported a total of US$49.985 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 3.03%, including US$18.113 billion in textile and clothing imports from China, a year-on-year increase of 1.13%; US$4.65 billion in textile and clothing imports from Vietnam, a year-on-year increase of 14.52%; and US$4.65 billion in textile and clothing imports from India. Imports of textiles and clothing were US$3.401 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.08%; textiles and clothing imports from Indonesia were US$2.607 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 4.32%; textiles and clothing imports from Bangladesh were US$2.56 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 0.83%; textile and clothing imports from Mexico were US$22.97 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.41%; textile and clothing imports from Pakistan were US$1.513 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.49%.
