Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports increased by .% year-on-year

In June 2014, Vietnam’s cotton textile output was 29.4 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 13.95%, and a month-on-month increase of 5.76%; polyester and man-made fiber textile output was 69.3 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 20.52%, a month-on-month increase of 0.73%; ready-made garments Clothing output was 258 million pieces, a year-on-year increase of 11.36% and a month-on-month increase of 11.26%. It is estimated that in July 2014, the output of cotton textiles will be 28.2 million square meters, the output of polyester and man-made fiber textiles will be 75 million square meters, and the output of ready-made clothing will be 241.9 million pieces.
In June 2014, Vietnam’s textile and clothing exports amounted to US$1.891 billion, a year-on-year increase of 26.91% and a month-on-month increase of 22.47%. The estimated value of textile and apparel exports in July 2014 was US$2.1 billion.
As of June 2014, Vietnam’s cotton textile production has accumulated to 159 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 9.88%; polyester and man-made fiber textile production has been 352.9 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 0.06%; ready-made clothing production has been 1.413 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 12.11% .
As of June 2014, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports totaled US$9.477 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18.67%.
In June 2014, Vietnam imported 66,000 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 57.14%; imported 69,000 tons of yarn, a year-on-year increase of 25.45%; and imported fabrics of US$847 million, a year-on-year increase of 22.22%. It is estimated that in July, 60,000 tons of cotton, 65,000 tons of yarn, and 880 million US dollars of fabric will be imported.
From January to June 2014, Vietnam imported 401,000 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 37.33%; imported yarn 361,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.74%; imported fabrics of US$4.62 billion, a year-on-year increase of 16.46%.
