Local weaving and knitting factories are still very cautious in purchasing, only meeting rigid needs, and also complaining about the lack of orders from downstream. The continuous electricity consumption in various textile systems in Punjab remains tight. Foreign yarn buyers remain sluggish, with spinners complaining of fewer inquiries overall and low ideal prices. Inquiries for carded 20S and 21S dropped to 485 and 510 US dollars per bag (400 pounds), a decrease of 5 US dollars from last week. In addition, the inquiry for carded 30S and 32S also dropped to 555 and 580 US dollars per bag (400 pounds). The price of polyester staple fiber is around 155/158 rupees/kg, which is the same as last week.
