Vietnam Textile and Garment Group builds new cotton yarn factory in Thua Thien-Hue Province

According to a report by “Vietnam News” on July 12, Vietnam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) invested 258 billion VND (approximately US$12.2 million) to build a new cotton yarn factory in Thua Thien-Hue Province. After completion, the factory will employ 200 workers and have an annual production capacity of 21,600 spindles of cotton yarn (approximately 2,880 tons). The products will be exported to Turkey and Taiwan, China. In addition, the Prime Minister of Vietnam and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have approved the development strategy of the garment industry in central Vietnam.
