UAE holds .% of global textile market share

Recently, the Gulf Times quoted a research report from the China Textile and Apparel Industry Association as saying that clothing has developed into the world’s fourth largest traded commodity. The UAE controls 5.5% of the global textile market share.
The report stated that there are currently 150 garment processing and production companies in the UAE. The Gulf region is gradually developing into a global textile processing and trading center. It is expected that by 2016, the UAE will become a global transit center for high-end clothing and textiles. The report believes that local clothing companies in the UAE do not need to pay import duties and their products have advantages in terms of quality and price. As a commodity transit center, the UAE’s market can cover the Middle East, Africa, and parts of Asia.
