Zheng Yuesheng, spokesperson of the General Administration of Customs and Director of the Comprehensive Statistics Department, said at a press conference of the State Council Information Office on July 10 that the General Administration of Customs has made a preliminary decision to integrate customs clearance reform in Beijing and Tianjin on October 1 this year. Expand to Hebei Province and realize customs clearance integration in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
Zheng Yuesheng introduced that at the same time, we will strive to simultaneously launch the customs clearance integration reform in the Yangtze River Delta in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other provinces and cities on October 1. We will strive to expand the integration reform of customs clearance in the Yangtze River Delta to 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Golden Waterway Economic Zone early next year. In addition, it is expected that regional customs clearance integration reform will be implemented in Guangdong around October 1. These reform measures will further reduce customs clearance costs for enterprises and improve customs clearance efficiency.
He said that Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei customs clearance integration has been officially implemented between Beijing and Tianjin Customs on July 1. The latest data shows that there have been more than 100,000 import and export customs declarations, which are operated according to the integrated customs clearance method. It is estimated that the integrated model can save enterprises 20% to 30% in customs clearance costs and reduce logistics costs by 20% to 30%.
In terms of import and export, Zheng Yuesheng introduced that in the first half of the year, my country exported 3.67 trillion yuan of mechanical and electrical products, a decrease of 3.6%; seven categories of labor-intensive products, including clothing, textiles, footwear, furniture, plastic products, bags and toys, totaled 13,300 yuan in exports. billion, an increase of 1.3%.
Zheng Yuesheng said that in the first quarter of this year, the market share of my country’s seven major categories of labor-intensive goods, including textiles, fell by 0.6 percentage points to 44.4% in the United States; its market share in the EU and Japan fell by 0.9 and 2.4 percentage points respectively, to 41.2%. and 58.2%.
