1. The amount of yarn exports increased slightly in May.

Among them, exports to Vietnam increased the most, with exports of US$410 million, an increase of 69.8%; exports to Malaysia, Indonesia and Cambodia all increased to varying degrees, with exports of US$0.6 billion, US$120 million and US$80 million respectively, an increase of 6.8%. , 3.1% and 34.4%. Exports to Myanmar declined, with exports reaching US$30 million, a decrease of 20.8%.
From January to May, China’s yarn exports to Hong Kong were US$880 million, a decrease of 24.2%. Exports to South Asian countries India and Bangladesh both declined, with export amounts reaching US$240 million and US$380 million respectively, representing year-on-year decreases of 8.8% and 4.8% respectively. Exports to Pakistan increased, with export value reaching US$230 million, an increase of 3.4%.
From January to May, China’s yarn exports to Japan were US$170 million, a decrease of 0.5%; exports to North America increased, with an export value of US$240 million, an increase of 17.5%. Exports to the EU and Latin America were US$610 million and US$260 million, an increase of 9.8% and 2.4% respectively.
3. The export price of yarn has declined.
From January to May 2014, the export price of yarn was US$3.13/kg, a year-on-year decrease of 9.5%. Yarn export prices to Asia, the European Union and Latin American markets were US$3.6/kg, US$2.81/kg and US$2.27/kg respectively, down 8.8%, 6.7% and 11.2% year-on-year. The export unit price of silk yarn increased, reaching US$43.95/kg, an increase of 21.3%; the export unit price of cotton yarn, wool animal hair yarn and chemical fiber yarn were US$4.79/kg, US$31.92/kg and US$2.85/kg, which decreased respectively. 2.6%, 6.2% and 9.1%.
