According to statistics from the Istanbul Textile and Garment Export Association (ITKIB), in the first four months of this fiscal year, Turkey exported US$3.04 billion in textiles and raw materials, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%.
According to statistics, Turkey exported US$2.76 billion in textiles and raw materials during the same period last year. In the first four months of this year, Turkey’s most exported products were woven fabrics, with an export value of US$1 billion, followed by yarn exports of US$615 million, knitted fabrics of US$581 million, and other textiles of US$474 million. In the first four months, Italy was Turkey’s largest export market, with an export value of US$329 million. Turkey exported US$273 million to Russia, US$158 million to Germany, US$126 million to the United Kingdom, US$124 million to Romania, and US$124 million to Ukraine. Exports amounted to US$109 million. In the first four months, Turkey’s exports of textiles and raw materials to the EU accounted for 47.8% of total exports. It is understood that in 2013, Turkey exported US$8.39 billion in textiles and raw materials.
