On May 23, 2014, the European Commission’s non-food rapid warning system issued a consumer warning on Chinese-made “HAHA” brand children’s jackets. The notifying country in this case is Bulgaria. The light blue children’s jacket notified this time has a hood, a zipper style, and embroidered flowers and sequins on the clothes. It is suitable for children around 7 years old. It has two pockets on the lower end and is embroidered with “Hadile”; the style/model is N°802415; the OECD Portal Category is 67000000 (clothing).
Since the hood of this children’s jacket has a non-fixed drawstring, it poses a suffocation hazard and does not comply with the relevant EU standard EN14682.
Currently, the Bulgarian authorities have taken sales bans and related measures on this product.
To this end, it is recommended that relevant domestic production and export enterprises attach great importance to this.
