U.S. textile and apparel imports from China increased by .% year-on-year

In March 2014, the total value of textile and apparel imports into the United States was US$7.698 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.77% and a month-on-month decrease of 5.24%. Among them, textile and clothing imports from China were US$2.149 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10.66%, a month-on-month decrease of 27.13%, accounting for 27.92% of the total U.S. imports, a decrease of 8.38 percentage points from the previous month; textile and clothing imports from Vietnam were US$716 million, a year-on-year increase of 22.52%, and a month-on-month increase of 27.92%. Decreased by 8.18%, accounting for 9.3% of the total share, 0.3 percentage points smaller than the previous month; textile and clothing imports from India were US$618 million, an increase of 7.09% year-on-year, an increase of 12.55% month-on-month, accounting for 8.03% of the total share, an expansion of 1.27% from the previous month percentage points.

As of March 2014, the United States had imported a total of US$24.841 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 3.2%, including US$8.78 billion in textile and clothing imports from China, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%; US$2.34 billion in textile and clothing imports from Vietnam, a year-on-year increase of 15.74%; and US$2.34 billion in textile and clothing imports from India. Imports of textiles and clothing were US$1.733 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.63%; textiles and clothing imports from Indonesia were US$1.387 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 3.5%; textiles and clothing imports from Bangladesh were US$1.362 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.1%; textile and clothing imports from Mexico were US$11.03 billion, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%; textile and clothing imports from Pakistan amounted to US$749 million, a year-on-year increase of 1.52%.
