From January to March, home textile exports to the EU maintained steady growth, with exports to the EU amounting to US$830 million, an increase of 7.32%, accounting for 16.51% of total exports. There was a slight decrease in exports to the United States and Japan. Exports to the United States were US$1.25 billion, down 1.98%, accounting for 24.82% of total exports; exports to Japan were US$580 million, down 2.57%, accounting for 11.5% of total exports.
Home textiles have basically maintained growth in other major markets other than Europe, the United States, and Japan. Exports to Russia increased slightly, with an increase of 4.33%; exports to Myanmar and Thailand grew rapidly, with increases of 785.88% and 79.86% respectively. In addition, from a regional perspective, home textile exports to ASEAN grew rapidly, with an increase of 45.88%; exports to Africa declined slightly, with a decrease of 4.44%.
2. The situation in Jiangsu and Guangdong is relatively good
The export situation of the top five provinces and cities in home textiles is uneven. Zhejiang and Jiangsu ranked in the top two, with Zhejiang decreasing by 0.8% year-on-year and Jiangsu increasing by 7.5% year-on-year; Shandong and Shanghai ranked third and fourth respectively, with Shandong increasing by 2.6% and Shanghai decreasing by 1.7% year-on-year; Guangdong ranked fifth in terms of export growth.
