Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports increased by .% year-on-year

In March 2014, Vietnam’s cotton fabric output was 28.4 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 19.83%, and a month-on-month increase of 38.54%; polyester and man-made fiber fabric output was 57.8 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 7.37%, and a month-on-month increase of 27.03%; The output of ready-made clothing was 228 million pieces, a year-on-year increase of 7.7% and a month-on-month decrease of 8.62%. It is estimated that in April 2014, the output of cotton fabrics will be 23.8 million square meters, the output of polyester and man-made fiber fabrics will be 62.4 million square meters, and the output of ready-made clothing will be 234.5 million pieces.
In March 2014, Vietnam’s textile and clothing exports amounted to US$1.516 billion, a year-on-year increase of 16.26% and a month-on-month increase of 45.07%. Textile and apparel exports are expected to reach US$1.5 billion in April 2014.
As of March 2014, Vietnam’s cotton fabric production has accumulated to 72.9 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 11.81%; polyester and man-made fiber fabric production has been 156.4 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 14.07%; ready-made clothing production has been 685.2 million pieces, a year-on-year increase of 16.33% .
As of March 2014, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports totaled US$4.466 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.43%.
