In March 2014, Pakistan exported US$1.235 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 5.83% and a month-on-month increase of 9.19%. Among them, the export of raw cotton was US$18.81 million, a year-on-year increase of 0.21% and a month-on-month increase of 108.28%.
As of March, in the 2013/14 fiscal year (2013.7-2014.3), Pakistan exported US$10.425 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 7.68%; exported raw cotton was US$182 million, a year-on-year increase of 43.35%.
In March, Pakistan exported 61,400 tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year decrease of 9.19%, which was the seventh consecutive year-on-year decrease this year; a month-on-month increase of 7.46%, an increase of 4,300 tons from the previous month. Exports of cotton cloth were 142 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 11.71% and a month-on-month increase of 4.94%.
As of March, in the 2013/14 fiscal year (2013.7-2014.3), Pakistan exported 515,800 tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year decrease of 5.26%; it exported 1.27 billion square meters of cotton cloth, a year-on-year decrease of 4%.
