-China’s silk commodity export situation

According to data from the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, from January to March, my country’s total exports of silk products were US$706.68 million, a year-on-year decrease of 13.05%. Among them, silk exports were US$143.33 million, a year-on-year increase of 20.28%; silk satin exports were US$206.1959 million, a year-on-year increase of 29.18%; silk manufactured exports were US$357.0817 million, a year-on-year increase of 50.53%. The top five markets in terms of export volume are: the United States, Italy, Japan, India, and Pakistan. The five markets together account for 55.9% of my country’s total exports of silk products. The top five provinces and cities in terms of export volume are: Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Shanghai, and Sichuan, with market shares of: 41.11%, 13.29%, 10.18%, 8.96%, and 6.66%. The export volume of Sichuan Province’s silk products was US$47.057 million, a year-on-year decrease of 8.69%, accounting for 6.66%.
