On February 11, 2014, Health Canada and JCorp jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s coats.
The product name of this recall is children’s coats with drawstrings at the neck, and the brand names are Best Friends Forever, Billy Arcade, Fiston, Ilétaitunefois, Moonwalk, Surin and Voltige. Sold in Canada from July 2011 to January 2014.
The number of products recalled in this recall is approximately 47,400 in Canada. The reason for the recall is that the drawstring at the neck of the coat may pose a choking hazard to children. As of now, Health Canada and JCorp have not received any reports of accidents.
For this reason, Health Canada recommends that consumers remove the drawstring immediately.
