On February 4, 2014, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and LionForce Corporation jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made boys’ hooded jackets.
The product name of this recall is a boys’ hooded jacket with a drawstring at the neck, made of nylon, and elastic bands at the wrist cuffs and waist. The “LionForce” logo is printed on the upper left side of the jacket and is available in sizes 4 to 12. It was sold in the Burlington Coat Factory store in the United States from November 2010 to September 2013, priced at about US$30.
About 2,400 of the recalled products were sold in the United States. The reason for the recall is that the drawstring at the neck of the jacket may pose a choking hazard to children. So far, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and LionForce have not received any accident reports.
For this reason, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends that consumers immediately remove the drawstring and return the product to the Burlington Coat Factory store for a full refund.
