Among them, the export value of fabrics was US$2.83 billion, accounting for the highest proportion of total exports, accounting for 33.8%. Followed by yarn products, with export value of US$1.74 billion in 2013, knitted fabrics ranked third with export value of US$1.68 billion; fiber export value was US$642 million.
Exports of textiles and raw materials accounted for 5.5% of Turkey’s total exports in 2013. The EU remains Turkey’s main export destination for textiles and clothing, with 45.6% of its textiles and clothing exported to Europe.
By country, in 2013, Russia was the largest export destination for Turkish textiles and clothing, with an export value of US$1.01 billion, Italy ranked second with US$837 million, Germany with US$445 million, and Romania with US$329 million. , UK$321 million. Among them, exports to Middle Eastern countries surged 6.2% to US$663 million.
