On January 20, 2014, Health Canada and Atlantic Sportswear jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s jackets.
The name of the recalled product is children’s jacket (women), the product model is G2511, and it has a drawstring on the neck. Sold in Canada from March 2013 to December 2013.
The number of recalled products sold in Canada is approximately 1,495. The reason for the recall is that the drawstring located at the neck poses a choking hazard to children. As of now, Health Canada and Atlantic Sportswear have not received any accident reports.
For this reason, Health Canada recommends that consumers remove the drawstring to avoid danger.
