Japan’s Fast Retailing Group brand Uniqlo is stepping up its efforts to “poach” people from other international fast-moving clothing brands and has successively appointed foreigners as managers of foreign branches.
Uniqlo announced in January that it had successfully poached four employees from H&M, GAP, Walmart and other companies. Leon Niles, the former chief designer of the American Eagle brand, has now become the chief designer of Uniqlo, responsible for design coordination.
