According to the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Turkey, Turkey has decided to launch a sunset review investigation into my country’s man-made and synthetic staple fiber yarns and sewing threads. The tax numbers involved are 55.08, 55.09, 55.10, and 55.11 (except 5509.52, 5509.61, 5509.91, and 5510.20). The investigation period of the case is from January 12, 2009 to January 10, 2014. According to customs data, the export volume of the products involved in the case to Turkey from January to November 2013 was approximately US$31 million.
The original trial of this case was initiated on January 11, 2008, and the amount involved at that time was US$111 million. The Chamber of Commerce organized 11 companies to respond to the lawsuit. The final ruling was to impose an anti-dumping duty of US$0.49/kg on Nantong Yimai, and the tax rates for other Chinese companies were US$0.80/kg.
