On March 1, 2023, the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism issued Supreme Decree No. 002-2023 in the official daily newspaper “El Peruvian”. The decree states that the report of the Committee on Dumping, Subsidization and Elimination of Tariff Barriers of the Peruvian National Agency for Competition and Intellectual Property Protection shows that based on the information and evidence that has been collected, it cannot be concluded that the domestic industry suffered serious damage due to imported clothing during the investigation period; in addition, the multi-sectoral committee It is believed that the investigation did not take into account the breadth and diversity of the products under investigation, and the import volume of products under a large number of tariff lines did not increase enough to cause serious damage to the domestic industry. The case was filed on December 24, 2021. On May 14, 2022, the preliminary ruling decided not to adopt temporary safeguard measures for the time being.
