Foreign news on November 7, cotton yarn prices in northern India gave up part of the previous day’s gains on Monday as buyers were unwilling to purchase at high prices. Panipat recycled yarn prices remained stable, but carded and recycled polyester fiber prices fell.
Cotton yarn prices in Ludhiana market increased by Rs 10 per kg since last week but fell by half today.
A trader in Ludhiana market said: “Spinning mills are looking for buyers, but they come to buy in bulk. Transactions in the value chain include Improved, but uncertainty remains an issue.”
In Ludhiana, 30-count combed cotton yarn is sold at Rs 300-310 per kg (incl. Excise duty), 20-count and 25-count combed cotton yarns are priced at Rs 290-300 and Rs 295-305 per kg, while 30-count woolen yarns are stable at Rs 275-285 per kg.
In Delhi, demand has improved since last week. However, cotton prices remain stable in the market.
A trader in the Delhi market said: “The rise in cotton prices has encouraged procurement across the textile value chain. The market seems to have bottomed out from recent lows. However, end users It is still uncertain whether to buy.”
In the Delhi market, the transaction price of 30-count combed yarn is 295-300 rupees per kilogram (consumption tax is paid separately), and the transaction price of 40-count combed yarn is Rs. Yarn 325-330 rupees per kg.
The Barneybird recycled yarn market remains stable as most varieties of yarn are sold at previous prices. However, carded and recycled polyester fiber prices have declined. Some spinning mills have resumed cotton yarn production to improve the supply of combed cotton.
In Banipat, recycled yarn (white) is traded at Rs 100-105 per kg (GST extra).
