According to comprehensive data from the General Administration of Customs of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia, the value of clothing exports from January to September 2022 increased by 23.09% compared with the same period in 2021 to US$7.174 billion, accounting for 17.258% of the total export value. 41.6% of US$100 million.
In the first nine months of 2022, Cambodia’s exports of knitted garments and accessories reached US$5.11 billion, an increase of 21.1% from US$4.22 billion in the same period last year. The export value of non-knitted clothing and accessories increased by 28.4% to US$2.064 billion, compared with US$1.608 billion in the same period in 2021.
In terms of imports, the import value of knitted or crocheted products from January to September 2022 was US$2.38 billion, an increase of 10% from US$2.164 billion in the same period last year. The import value of man-made fibers increased by 16.9% to US$917 million, compared with US$785 million in the same period of 2021. The value of cotton imports increased by 1.3% to US$392 million, compared with US$387 million in the same period in 2021.
