On June 28, 2022, the South African National Consumer Council (NCC), in accordance with section 96(b)(i) of the Consumer Protection Act 2008, targeted clothing and textiles. Importers of shoes, shoes and leather goods have issued a guide on trade description requirements. The guidelines require that imported products should be accompanied by the following trade description information:
(1) Place of origin;
(2) Care label;
(3) Fiber content;
(4) If the goods have been Be refurbished, transformed, rebuilt or remade, clearly stating that the goods have been renovated, renovated, rebuilt or remade;
