In August, Pakistan exported textiles and clothing to US$1.575 billion, a month-on-month increase of 6.35%, and a year-on-year increase of 7.67%; exports of cotton yarn were 23,100 tons, a month-on-month increase of 26.90%, a year-on-year decrease of 29.80%; exports Cotton cloth was 30 million square meters, an increase of 5.22% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 30.90%.
In the 2022/23 fiscal year (July-August 2022), Pakistan’s exports of textiles and clothing reached US$3.056 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.17%; its exports of cotton yarn were 41,300 tons, a year-on-year increase of 41,300 tons. A decrease of 33.07%; the export of cotton cloth was 59 million square meters, a decrease of 23.03% year-on-year.
