Italian textile machinery exports surge in quarter

According to Italy’s “24 Hours Sun” report, Italian textile machinery orders increased by 41% in the first quarter of 2010, of which orders from China increased by 110% to 70 million euros, and orders from India increased by 78% to 23 million euros. Orders from other Asian countries are also good, with Iran receiving 8 million euros, an increase of 63%; Pakistan receiving 7 million euros, an increase of 82%; and only Bangladesh receiving 5 million euros, a decrease of 17%.
