On July 21, 2010, Health Canada and Yanes Canada jointly announced a recall of Chinese-made 3-person outdoor tents.
The product being recalled this time is “3023 AEGIS” 3-person outdoor tent, dome, blue and gray curtains, size 225cm × 210cm × 122cm, style number 3023 AEGIS-3, UPC code 061547030233. The tent was sold at Truserv stores and other specialty stores in Canada from January 2009 to February 2010.
The number of products recalled this time is approximately 502. The reason for the recall is that sampling test results showed that the materials used in the tent did not meet Canadian tent flame retardant standards. To date, neither Health Canada nor Yanes Canada has received any reports of incidents.
For this reason, Health Canada recommends that consumers immediately stop using the recalled tents and contact the specialty store or Yanes Canada to return the products and exchange them with other products free of charge.
