In the 2021/22 fiscal year, Pakistan’s textile and clothing revenue dropped slightly month-on-month in January but increased steadily year-on-year. Exports of textiles and clothing reached US$1.552 billion, a month-on-month decrease of 4.43% and a year-on-year increase of 17.31%; Exports of cotton yarn were 19,400 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 31.77%, and a year-on-year decrease of 40.68%; cotton cloth exports were 37 million square meters, a month-on-month increase of 16.86%, a year-on-year increase of 14.82%.
In the 2021/22 fiscal year (July 2021-January 2022), Pakistan exported $10.934 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 24.67%; exported 201,300 tons of cotton yarn , a year-on-year decrease of 3.76%.
