On December 24, 2021, the Committee on Dumping, Subsidization and Elimination of Non-tariff Trade Barriers of the National Institute for Competition and Intellectual Property Protection of Peru was published in the official daily newspaper “El Peruano” Announcement No. 296-2021/CDB-INDECOPI decided to initiate safeguard measures investigation procedures for clothing products with a total of 284 tax code sub-items under Chapter 61, Chapter 62 and Chapter 63 of the “National Tariff Code” to determine Whether to take safeguard measures for this type of imported goods. The investigation period of this case is from January 2016 to June 2021. The maximum period of the investigation procedure is 6 months (starting from the day after the announcement is released).
