Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation reported on the national supervision and spot checks on the quality of 12 online products such as casual clothing in 2021. Among them, 40 batches of down clothing products were found to be unqualified, involving “Hongdu”, “Nanjiren” and “Qipai”.
This time, 248 batches of down clothing products produced by 234 companies in 15 provinces (municipalities) were randomly inspected. Among them, 26 batches were suspected of having unnamed factory addresses and have been handed over to the market supervision department where the companies are located. Among the 222 batches of products inspected, 40 batches were found to be unqualified, with a random inspection failure rate of 18.0%. The unqualified items involve formaldehyde content, pH value, decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes, color fastness to water, down content, etc.

In response to the problems discovered in this national supervision and spot inspection of the quality of online products, the State Administration for Market Regulation requires that the market supervision bureaus (departments and commissions) of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps do a good job in handling the results of supervision and spot inspections:
·Urge e-commerce platforms to immediately remove unqualified products from the shelves. Seize and detain unqualified products in accordance with the law, order enterprises selling unqualified products to stop selling the same products, comprehensively clean up and dispose of unqualified products in stock in accordance with the law.
·Order enterprises that produce unqualified products to stop producing and selling the same product, clarify the rectification requirements, urge the implementation of rectification measures, and organize review in a timely manner.
· Those suspected of committing crimes shall be promptly transferred to judicial organs;
·Incorporate serious illegal and untrustworthy enterprises into the list of serious illegal and untrustworthy enterprises in accordance with the law.
·Notify the local government and relevant departments of the unqualified products in this spot inspection, take effective measures to urge enterprises to implement the main responsibility for product quality and safety in accordance with the law, guide enterprises to organize production in strict accordance with standards, and ensure product quality and safety.
·Strengthen quality and technical assistance. Organize relevant industry organizations and technical institutions to help enterprises find out the causes in depth, propose improvement measures and solutions, and promote the improvement of industry quality levels.
