In the first quarter of 2017, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports totaled US$6.75 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.4%. Among them, exports to traditional markets such as the United States and the European Union only increased by 6.3-6.4% year-on-year. Exports to several emerging markets have released promising signals, among which exports to Russia increased by 115%, exports to Singapore increased by 38%, exports to Cambodia increased by 36%, and exports to Brazil and India increased by 34%.
