4. Work requirements
1. Entries must be original works that have never been published, and contestants must sign an originality guarantee. The competition rejects all plagiarized or malicious imitation works. Once found, the contestant will be disqualified and the party concerned shall bear all copyright and legal consequences. The organizing committee has the right to hold the contestant responsible for any impact on the reputation of the competition caused by plagiarism or malicious imitation.
2. This competition is open to domestic and foreign fashion designers, teachers and students of fashion schools, art schools, and all people who love fashion design.
3. The entries must reflect the theme of this year’s competition – Vowels#Eastern, and be combined with the 2023 international fashion trends. The entries must have distinctive cultural characteristics and commercial characteristics of the times. Landability.
4. Participants must provide the following relevant materials:
(1) Submit “4” sets of color renderings and process structure drawings of women’s clothing series, of which 2 sets are creative designs and 2 sets are commercial designs extended by creative designs;
(2) The size of the work is 27cm*40cm, both hand-painted and computer-drawn, and comes with fabric samples;
(3) Submit a design description, including sources of inspiration, design concepts, popular elements and other related elements.
5. Based on the preliminary evaluation of the submitted works, 30 contestants will be selected to enter the “Dalang Cup” special training camp. The contestants will be inspected through 7-10 days of training camp activities such as corporate training, famous teacher training, and visits to Dalang Fashion Town. Based on their practical ability, 21 contestants were finally selected as finalists. The competition organizing committee is responsible for the contestants’ food, accommodation and some transportation during the special training camp.
6. The finalists are required to make “4” sets of ready-to-wear works based on the renderings. The styles or patterns cannot be changed at will. Accessories are required to be complete. The clothing size is made according to a 180cm female model, and the shoe size is 39 or 40.
7. The finalists will shoot a design explanation video in the special training camp, including sources of inspiration, design concepts, popular elements and other related content. The video will be used for online voting, and the “Online Voting Award” will eventually be selected.
8. Bring your own music for the finals catwalk, 3 minutes long, in MP3 format.
9. The organizer has the right to promote, publish, display, and brand all entries. The originals of gold, silver, and bronze medals in the finals will be collected by Dalang Fashion Town.
10. The finals will be held in Dalang Fashion Town, Shenzhen on October 18. The competition organizing committee will be responsible for the food, accommodation and some transportation of the finalists during the finals.
11. In addition to the above specific requirements, during the same period of the competition, the competition will openly collect the basic IP image of the “Big Wave Cup” virtual spokesperson from the public, including the front, side and back.
