On May 19, the Jiangxi Province Sericulture Industry Technology System Large-scale Silkworm Artificial Feed Breeding Observation Meeting was held at the Huangxi Silkworm Factory in Xiushui County. More than 20 people from the modern sericulture service center of Xiushui County, the sericulture station of Mayao Town, and the heads of small silkworm factories such as Huangxi, Dongjin, and Shankouyuan attended the event.
The meeting was conducted in the form of on-site visits and intensive exchanges. The technical leader introduced the technical operations of artificial feed mixing, steaming, cutting and feeding to the participants, emphasizing important technical essentials. In this large-scale artificial feed breeding experiment, 25 silkworms were spawned. The variety is Youshi No. 1. They were raised on artificial feed from the 1st to 3rd age. After the 4th age, they were fed with mulberry leaves. The feed was mechanically processed and fed at the 1st to 2nd age. Feed once and feed twice for 3-year-olds.
This artificial feed for raising silkworms has neatly developed silkworm bodies and saves a lot of labor. It has been unanimously recognized by the participants. Some persons in charge of small silkworm factories hope to promote the technology of artificial feed for raising small silkworms, in order to comprehensively promote artificial feed for small silkworms. Feed feeding technology lays the foundation and enhances confidence.
