On June 17, 2021, the Korea Trade Commission issued the latest announcement on Case No. 23-2020-5 (Resolution No. 2021-8), regarding polyethylene originating in China. Polyester Filament Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY) made a preliminary anti-dumping ruling. The preliminary ruling was that the products involved were dumped. Among them, Zhejiang Hengyi Petrochemicals Co., Ltd. and its affiliated companies had a dumping margin of 4.25%, and Xinfeng Xinfengming Group Huzhou Zhongshi Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliates are 5.56%, Zhejiang Tiansheng Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. and its affiliates are 8.16%, Jiangsu Guowang High-tech Fiber Co., Ltd. (Jiangsu Guowang High-Technique Fiber Co., Ltd.) and its affiliates are 9.92%, Jiangsu Hengli Chemical Fibre Co., Ltd. and its affiliates are 7.10%, and other suppliers are 6.55%. The dumping of the products involved It has caused substantial damage to South Korea’s domestic industry, but it is recommended not to impose temporary anti-dumping duties on the Chinese products involved. The Korean tax number of the product involved is 5402.47.9000.
On January 27, 2021, the Korea Trade Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation into fully drawn polyester yarn originating in China. The dumping investigation period in this case is from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, and the damage investigation period is from January 1, 2017 to June 30, 2020.
