On July 14, 2021, the Commission on Dumping, Subsidization and Elimination of Non-tariff Trade Barriers of the National Institute for Competition and Intellectual Property Protection of Peru was published in the official daily newspaper “El Peruano” Announcement No. 205-2021/CDB-INDECOPI made a preliminary anti-dumping ruling on zippers and accessories originating in China. The preliminary ruling imposed a levy of $4.84/kg on metal zippers with an imported FOB price not exceeding $23.29/kg. A temporary anti-dumping tax of US$2.11/kg is levied on zippers of other materials with an FOB price not exceeding US$44.26/kg, and a temporary anti-dumping tax of US$0.66/kg is levied on zipper accessories with an FOB price not exceeding US$9.28/kg. Tax, the announcement will take effect from the day after it is released and will be valid for 6 months. The Peruvian tax numbers of the products involved are 9607.11.00.00, 9607.19.00.00 and 9607.20.00.00.
