On July 28, 2021, the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas.
The recalled products are six models of TkalaFashion’s 100% cotton children’s pajamas. Pajamas come in two-piece sizes for ages 1-8, 10 and 12; patterned with multi-color dinosaur, orange and white dinosaur, green shark, green dinosaur, black and white dinosaur, black rocket ship. The collar tag is printed with “100% cotton” and care and washing instructions.
The product does not meet federal flammability standards for children’s pajamas and may cause burns to children.
The recalled products were sold on the Amazon website from January to June 2021. About 6,000 pieces were sold, priced at about US$7-15.
So far, there are no reports of accidents or casualties.
The U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends that consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact TkalaFashion for a refund.
