Recently, Suzhou Changshu Ecological Environment Bureau conducted a law enforcement inspection on a printing and dyeing company. During the inspection, the water discharged from the sewage outlet of the unit was sampled. After detection and analysis by the Suzhou Changshu Environmental Monitoring Station, the unit The chemical oxygen demand concentration of the water discharged from the sewage outlet is 71mg/L, and the total antimony concentration is 0.095mg/L, which respectively exceeds the “Taihu District UrbanSewage Treatment Plant and Key Industrial Industries Main Water Pollutant Discharge Limits” (DB32/1072-2018) Table 3 Textile Dyeing and Finishing Industry Discharge Limit Requirements (Chemical Oxygen Demand: 60 mg/L) and “Antimony Pollutants in Textile Dyeing and Finishing Industrial WastewaterEmission Standard” (DB32/3432-2018) Table 2 direct emission limit (total antimony: 0.05mg/L). Later, the Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau of Bixi Street opened a case to investigate.
1. “Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China”
Article 83 Paragraph 2: Anyone who violates the provisions of this Law and commits any of the following acts shall be ordered by the environmental protection department of the people’s government at or above the county level to make corrections or to restrict production, suspend production for rectification, and impose a fine of more than 100,000 yuan. A fine of not more than one million yuan; if the circumstances are serious, the person shall be ordered to suspend business or close down upon approval by the people’s government with the authority to approve: (2) Discharge water pollution that exceeds the water pollutant discharge standards or exceeds the total discharge control index of key water pollutants material.
According to laws and regulations, the following administrative penalties will be imposed on this unit:
1. Order the illegal behavior to be corrected immediately;
2. A fine of RMB 150,000.
