In 2016, the overall polyester market was in a strong and positive trend. Reversing the downturn last year, most polyester products hit new highs during the year. For polyester filament, 2016 is destined to be an extraordinary year. The entire polyester industry is in a hot situation of “if it does not open for three years, it will take three years to open.” Especially in the second half of the year, not only did market prices skyrocket during the traditional off-season of July and August; after entering the fourth quarter, polyester factories continued to increase across the board.
