Hello everyone!
For more than a year, geopolitical changes have been intertwined with the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, and “triple pressures” have been superimposed on “unexpected changes”, putting economic and social development under pressure. In the face of challenges, the textile industry has shown strong development resilience and played a constructive role in stabilizing growth, protecting people’s livelihood, and preventing risks. Currently, the industry is in a critical window for stabilization and recovery. Industrial workers are the source of innovation, vitality and value. Giving full play to the wisdom and strength of industrial workers will play a decisive role in consolidating the foundation for recovery and development and promoting highqualitydevelopment in the industry.
The joint meeting system with the China Finance, Trade, Light Textile and Tobacco Trade Union is an important way to promote the construction of the industrial worker team. At this critical juncture, the attendance of leaders and responsible comrades from the National Federation of Trade Unions and the Finance, Trade, Light, Textile and Tobacco Trade Unions is a huge support for the work of the industry. On behalf of the China National Textile and Apparel Federation, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks!
Next, I would like to share some thoughts with leaders and comrades on the new progress made and the new situation faced by the industry’s industrial worker team building work.
1. New progress in building the workforce of China’s textile industry
In the past year or so, under the leadership of the party, China Textile Federation has the courage to take on its responsibilities, adhere to integrity and innovation, and has made new progress in building a team of industrial workers, providing strong support for the steady development of the industry.
(1) Strengthen party building work and unite the strength of industrial workers
The China Textile Federation has always insisted on leading the construction of the industrial worker team through industry party building work, gathering ideological consensus and stimulating the power of advancement. By studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and all the plenary sessions of the 19th CPC National Congress, we will promote the normalization and long-term effectiveness of party history learning and education, and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on the textile industry into industry service work middle. Use the high political position of association services to drive and lead the development of the industry and the construction of the industrial worker team.
The China Textile Federation continues to strengthen the ideological and political work for industrial workers, and effectively implement the party’s will and propositions, and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech on the working class and the working people, into all areas and the entire process of industry work. In specific work, we constantly explore and summarize the party-building work experience of textile enterprises, colleges and professional markets, etc., to enhance the political identity, ideological identity, and emotional identity of industry practitioners. Strengthen publicity and guidance, and use vivid and typical cases to provide reference for the entire industry to use party building to gather people’s hearts and promote development. The entire industry has become more conscious and firm in its belief in listening to the Party, being grateful to the Party, and following the Party, and the cohesion, centripetal force, and combat effectiveness of the industrial worker team have continued to increase.
(2) Promote stable employmentemployment and maintain a stable team of industrial workers
China Textile Federation has always regarded stabilizing jobs and employment as an important concern of industry services, and promotes the formation of a positive cycle between the construction of the industrial worker team and industrial development.
Focus on stabilizing market entities as an important focus of stabilizing employment. Give full play to the organizational advantages and platform role, and take multiple measures to help enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, to alleviate difficulties and develop. We continue to provide precise and professional services such as industry guidance, industrial chain supply and demand docking, and industry-financing cooperation, effectively supporting the resumption of work and production and stable development of industry enterprises. Conduct research on the impact of factors such as “Xinjiang cotton” and the epidemic on the operation of industry enterprises and the stability of the workforce to find solutions to the problems. Related work provides space for job stabilization and job expansion.
Carry out in-depth employment service work. Actively promote the implementation of the employment priority strategy and talent policy. Activities such as special online recruitment in the textile and garment industry and special recruitment in large and medium-sized cities and industrial clusters were successfully held, playing an important role in ensuring the employment of key groups such as college graduates and migrant workers. . The “‘Career’ is Waiting for You” online dual selection fair has invited more than 40 well-known companies in the industry, including Winner Fashion Group and Jiangsu Huajia Group, to connect graduates with rich and high-quality employment resources.
(3) Strengthen talent training and optimize a good ecosystem for industrial development
Carry out work related to professional and technical improvement, and the scale of skilled talent training continues to expand. Actively explore new models of vocational education such as comprehensive education of professional groups, integrated reform of on-the-job courses, competitions and certificates, and modern apprenticeship practice. Deepen school-enterprise cooperation and integration of industry and education. Focusing on the new development and new needs of industrytransformation and upgrading, we will continue to enrich and expand the content, channels and means of industry training. Under the guidance of the Energy Conservation Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, we carried out “energy conservation” activities for 85 companies.�Working environment; consciously safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of industrial workers, guide the construction of family-friendly corporate culture and systems, and promote the realization of decent work and comprehensive development of industrial workers. Vigorously publicize and promote advanced models of corporate social responsibility work in the industry to create a demonstration and leadership effect.
This joint meeting is a review and summary of the construction of the industrial worker team before the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. It is also a mobilization and encouragement to inspire the new era and forge ahead on a new journey.
As an important platform and link for the Party to contact employees in the industrial system, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the China Finance, Trade, Light, Textile and Tobacco Trade Union play an important role in protecting the rights and interests of employees, gathering construction forces, and promoting industrial development.
