Top 500 Chinese Enterprises in 2022 (Textile and Garment Enterprise List)
On September 6, the “2022 Top 500 Chinese Enterprises” list released by the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Entrepreneurs Association was announced in Beijing.
The top 500 Chinese enterprises in 2022 are distributed in 29 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government). The three most distributed regions are Beijing, Guangdong and Shandong. From the perspective of changes, the olive-shaped structure of the regional distribution of the top 500 Chinese enterprises is more prominent, with the number of second- and third-tier companies increasing and the number of first- and fourth-tier companies decreasing. There are 88 companies in the Beijing area in the first tier, 5 fewer than in the previous year; the second tier includes areas with more than 40-80 companies shortlisted, including Guangdong, Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, with a total of 199 companies shortlisted. There are 3 more companies in the top 500 than last year; the third tier includes areas with 10-39 companies shortlisted, including Shanghai, Hebei, Sichuan, Chongqing, Fujian, Anhui, and Hebei. A total of 134 companies were shortlisted, which is 134 companies shortlisted compared with the previous year. The number of top 500 companies increased by 10; the fourth tier includes Henan and other 17 regions where the number of shortlisted companies is 9 or less. A total of 79 companies were shortlisted, 8 less than the previous year’s top 500 companies. In terms of regional rankings, the five cities with the largest number of shortlisted companies are Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Guangzhou.
Among the top 500 Chinese companies in 2022, the number of manufacturing companies shortlisted has increased to 256, 7 more than the previous year’s top 500, maintaining an increase for the second consecutive year; there are 171 service industry companies and 73 other companies.
In this year’s top 500 list, there are 27 companies involved in the textile and apparel industry.
